First, we welcome our new member, Michael! He made his first hunt with us to Fort Chaffee. It turned out to be a memorable event for all of us. We had an extremely active night there. It will remain to be seen after evidence review if we can prove any of the evening's events, but we will certainly never forget them. We will share what evidence we gain, as we gain it. The culminating event of the evening was returning to base to find that our snacks had been ransacked by a thief who left his little paw prints for identification. Darn raccoons!!!!
We visited this historic site on a Friday night, just recently. One of our investigators, Scott, had been here before and wanted to go back. We are glad that we did it! We had a number of personal experiences. Two of our members were touched, and we all saw what appeared to be movement in the downstairs hall, but unfortunately did not catch it on video. The museum area is where we caught most of our evp's, interestingly enough. The museum is full of wonderful artifacts from the 1800's from around and after the Civil War. We had a great time, and would highly recommend that other groups check it out as well.
We just returned from a joint hunt at Hillhaven with a local group from the area, Tir Firnath. Ryan Straub was our contact person, and we met several other members of his group. They are a great bunch of investigators, and we had a wonderful time working with them. Thanks, Ryan and friends for a terrific hunt. We had some personal experiences, several drained batteries (Ryan had warned us about that), and are looking diligently for any evidence to back up what we experienced. Hillhaven has changed hands over the years several times, and is currently in a horrible state of affairs. Very sad to see such a grand old building let go like that. If there are former residents still in the building, they are surely saddened by the condition as well. We would love to return in the future (maybe when it is a little bit warmer)!! The building is open to the elements at this time.
We have to encourage everyone from our area to check out the Queen Anne House in Harrison, Arkansas. We had numerous personal experiences there, and were able to gather some very interesting evidence. The house is beautiful, and the innkeeper Warren is wonderful. He would like to have more paranormal groups come and see what they are able to find. A big
two-thumbs up from us! We will definately being going back!
We would like to share with you a great place to go for an overnight hunt. It is the Elm's Resort in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. The Elm's is a beautiful old hotel rich with history, and the employees are wonderfully accommodating to ghost hunters. Just let them know that is why you are coming. They allowed several of us to share a room, and let us into virtually anywhere in the hotel that we wanted to go, as long as we did not disturb other guests. We had a blast, and several personal experiences. We were given a tour, told the history and about the ghost sightings, then turned loose. It is truly worth the trip, and we are looking forward to returning!
